The Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation thanks Donnie and JoeRenda Williams for their longtime support to Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics. They hold season tickets in Football, Softball, Baseball and Men’s Basketball and make philanthropic donations to the RCAF. Their passion for UL is evident when you spot them at various athletic events throughout the year. Donnie and JoeRenda shared some of their thoughts with us about the RCAF and our athletic programs.
Why do you support the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation?
Simply said, we love Ragin’ Cajuns Baseball. We have sponsored the lineup cards for the baseball games for over 20 years. Coach Robichaux and Coach Babineaux do a great job coaching these young men every year on and off the field. This is not to say that we don’t appreciate a good UL Football or UL Basketball game, too. The RCAF is definitely heading in the right direction for all athletics at the University.
What is your favorite Ragin’ Cajun memory?
Our favorite Ragin’ Cajun memory is when the Ragin’ Cajuns Football team defeated the No.25 Texas A&M Aggies in 1996 by the score of 29 to 22. We will never forget the students removing the goalpost and taking it down the streets of Lafayette. What a celebration!
What does it mean to be a Ragin’ Cajun?
Being a Ragin’ Cajun fan means having a great time tailgating, watching the game, and tailgating again.
Thank you, Donnie and JoeRenda for your passion and support to the RCAF and Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics!
